Abstract
The development of laser ultrasonic technology is described, the principle of laser ultrasonic generation and detection are presented , applications of laser ultrasound in high resolution testing, quickly scanning and map-ping of surface and totally detecting objects in harmful circumstances are reviewed, and problems and developingtrends of the technology are discussed.
