摘要
研究了高峰值功率大能量Nd:YAG固体激光器的主要技术问题。采用圆棒状激光工作物质实现高峰值功率大能量激光输出,并分析了该方案的部分技术细节。介绍了双KD*P晶体升压式Q开关的工作特点;阐述了双通道六级行波功率放大器的工作特性;利用激光束偏振特性进行了双光束45°偏振合成。实验实现了在重复频率20.0 Hz时,单脉冲输出能量≥8.5 J,脉冲宽度13.9 ns,光束质量M2≤3.99,能量不稳定度≤0.5%。
Abstract
The primary technical issues of high peak power and large energy Nd:YAG solid state laser are researched. A pair of Nd:YAG rods are used to realize the above laser, and some techniques are discussed in detail. Characteristics of the Q-switch of pulse drives with KD*P crystals and the double-channel 6-step traveling-wave power amplifier are presented, inspectively. The 45° beam polarized combination of two Nd:YAG lasers using polarization coatings are completed. The experimental results are presented: at 20.0 Hz, output energy exceeding 8.5 J per pulse, pulse width 13.9 ns, beam quality M2≤3.99 and energy unstabllity degree less than 0.5%.
