摘要
给出了单模输出的铒镱共掺双包层光纤激光器(EY-DCFL)的数值分析及最新实验结果.基于速率方程及功率传输方程,对单模EY-DCFL进行数值分析,从理论上对其性能进行优化.然后,在相同条件下进行了EY-DCFL的实验研究.描述了输出激光功率随入纤泵浦功率和光纤长度的变化以及输出激光波长随光纤长度的变化.在光纤长度为6.3 m时,获得了波长为1566 nm、最大功率为2.2 W 的单模激光输出,整体光-光转换效率22%,这是目前国内用该类光纤获得的最高单模输出功率.
Abstract
Numerical analysis and experimental results of erbium-ytterbium co-doped double-cladding fiber lasers (EY-DCFLs) with single mode output were presented. Numerical analysis of this EY-DCFL, based on the rate and propagation equations,was performed firstly in order to optimize its properties theoretically. Then experimental research was done of this EY-DCFL by using the same conditions such as pump power, fiber length, and dichroic mirror. The output powers as functions of the input pump power and fiber length were described, as well as the output wavelength vs the fiber length. The maximum output power was about 2.2 W lasing at 1566 nm by using a 6.30 m fiber, with an overall optical to optical conversion efficiency of 22%, which were 33% lower than the calculated
