Abstract
The paper introduces the latest technical development of communication fiber, including the manufacturing technology and application of novel multimode optical fiber and single mode optical fiber. The development and application of the latest special optical fiber are also presented in details, moreover, the domestic present situation and developing trend of fiberoptic communication are described to certain degree.
