Abstract
A diode-laser-array single-end-pumped CW Nd:YVO4 laser,capable of producing maximum TEM00 mode output power of 15 W,has been demonstrated. At the incident pumping power of 24 W,the output power of 13.8 W was obtained,leading to an optical conversion efficiency of 57.5%,and the slope efficiency of 66.7%. It is shown that only with Nd:YVO4 crystals of low Nd3+ concentration,the laser can be operated efficiently under high pump power levels.
