摘要
报道了国产掺Yb石英光纤激光器的成功运转。用波长为915 nm的钛宝石激光泵浦3.5 m长的光纤时,激光中心波长为1.03 μm,激光阈值可低至5 mW,斜效率可达68%。用860 nm泵浦能得到相似的结果。另外,当光纤短于0.5 m时能得到974 nm激光振荡。
Abstract
The operation of a home-made ytterbium-doped fiber laser is reported. When a 3.5 m ytterbium-doped fiber is pumped with a Ti∶sapphire laser at 915 nm, lasing at a wavelength of 1.03 μm occurs. The laser operates at a threshold as low as 5 mW with a slope efficiency as high as 68%. Similar results can also be obtained when the fiber laser is pumped at 860 nm. In addition, when a Yb-doped fiber shorter than 0.5 m was used, laser action at 974 nm was obtained.
