双预燃闪光灯泵浦钛宝石激光输出的实验研究
Studies on Flashlamp-PUmped Ti:Sapphire Laser with Strong Simmer Current
摘要
对强预燃闪光灯泵浦的钛宝石激光器进行了研究。实验采用双直流预燃电路,研究强预燃对激光输出的影响。研究结果表明,强预燃能够提高激光效率,合适的预燃电流是1.6 A。在这个条件下,从φ8×160 mm钛宝石棒获得600 mJ的激光输出,转换效率为0.16%。
Abstract
A flashlamp-pumped Ti:Al2O3 laser with double simmer currents is studied. A technique of double simmer currents is used and the influence caused by strong simmer current on the laser output energy is discussed. We find that laser efficiency increases when strong simmer current enhanced. The appropriate simmer current is 1.6 A. Laser energy more than 600 mJ and overall efficiency 0.16% are obtained.
