Cross-talk Noise Suppresion in Volume Holography with a Composite Reading Beam
Cross-talk Noise Suppresion in Volume Holography with a Composite Reading Beam
摘要
Abstract
A new method for reducing the crosstalk noise in an angularly multiplexed volume holographic memory is presented. In this approach, each hologram is recorded with a plane wave as usual. Instead of using a single planar reference beam for reading each stored hologram, a composite beam is used which consists of multiple plane waves. Theoretical investigation shows that the crosstalktosignal ratio obtained by the proposed method is approximately 35 dB lower than that of the conventional case with a single plannar reading beam. In addition, the suggested method does not cause diffraction efficiency reduction either.
