用二维时域有限差分法分析条形多层波导

Analysis of Channel Multilayer Waveguides with the Two Dimensional Finite Difference Time Domain Method

摘要
为精确分析条形多层波导和多量子阱(MQW)波导,本文提出了一种以二维时域有限差分(FDTD)法为基础的全波数值方法,给出了场分布和色散特性的数值结果,并与矢量有限元法已有的结果作了比较;文中还研究了以二维时域有限差分法为基础的标量近似技术,提出了它的有效性和精度的局限性。
Abstract
A full-wave numerical approach, based on the two-dimensional finite difference time domain (FDTD) method, is developed for the accurate analysis of channel multilayer and multiple quantum well (MQW) waveguides. Numerical results in terms of field distributions and dispersion characteristics are given and compared with available results obtained with vector finite element method. The scalar approximation technique, based on the 2-D FDTD method, is also investigated and it's limitations of the validity and accuracy are pointed out.
