Abstract
Injection control of tunable β-barium borate(BBO) optical parametric oscillator (OPO) using a narrow bandwidth Ti:saphire laser is described. A single Nd: YAG laser was used to pump the Ti:sapphire laser and the BBO OPO. The system generates continuously tunable narrow-band (≤0. 01nm) radiation over the range of 589-892nm. The OPO threshold reduction (up to 10 times) and conversion efficency improvements (4 to 11 times) by injection seeding were observed.
