摘要
报道了温差水热法生长的祖母绿晶体在660 nm激光二极管(LD)抽运下的激光实验结果。根据祖母绿晶体的光学特点和生长情况, 加工了长度分别为10.5 mm和3.4 mm的两种激光棒, 并分别进行了激光实验。当激光二极管输入功率为2.68 W时, 在平凹腔中祖母绿晶体分别实现了2.7 mW和24 mW的731 nm红外激光的自由输出, 其中长度3.4 mm激光晶体的光-光转换效率为1.4%, 斜率效率为11.9%, 激光阈值在0.7 W附近, 并分析讨论了效率低的原因。
Abstract
Free running emerald laser pumped by 660 nm laser diode (LD) was reported. According to the crystal growth properties and optical characterizations, the emerald laser rods of 10.5 mm and 3.4 mm lengths were processed respectively. When the LD incident power was 2.68 W, 2.7 mW and 24 mW free-running laser outputs at 731 nm have been obtained in the same plano-concave cavity, respectively. By using of 3.4 mm length laser rod, the overall efficiency of 1.4% and slope efficiency of 11.9% were gotten. The laser threshold value of emerald crystal was estimated 0.7 W. The reason of lower output was studied seriously.
