不同光纤缠绕方式与抽运光吸收研究

摘要
为了研究不同缠绕方式对于光纤包层抽运光吸收的影响,理论研究了圆形缠绕光纤和跑道型缠绕光纤包层光场传输特性。数值模拟了不同长度、纤芯包层比、吸收系数和弯曲半径时不同缠绕方式的光纤抽运光吸收情况。计算结果表明,弯直周期缠绕光纤对抽运光的吸收优于圆形缠绕光纤,全直光纤对抽运光的吸收最不好。同时结果表明,光纤的纤芯包层比和弯曲周期数目存在一个最优范围,使得弯直周期缠绕光纤对抽运光吸收最好。而且增加光纤总长、增大吸收系数、减小弯曲半径等方式均可以提高光纤包层抽运光的吸收。
Abstract
In order to study the impact of different coiling methods on fiber cladding pump light absorption, the fiber cladding light field transmission characteristics of the circle coiled fibers and straight-bend periodical coiled fibers (SBPCFs) are studied theoretically. Different coiling methods of the optical fibers to enhance the pump light absorption are simulated with different lengths, core-clad ratios, absorption coefficients and bending radiuses of the fibers. The results indicate that the pump light absorption of the SBPCFs is more than circle optical fiber and the pump light absorption of the straight optical fiber is the least. The results also show that there are optimal ranges of core-cladding ratio and coiling period numbers, making the most pump light absorption of the SBPCFs . The other ways to improve pump light absorption of the fiber cladding are to increase the fiber length, enhance the absorption coefficient and reduce the bending radius.
