大口径超柔韧空芯光纤的制作和特性研究

摘要
采用聚碳酸酯管材拉丝制作了空芯光纤的基管,基管内面的光滑特性有效降低了损耗。采用聚碳酸酯基管制作的大口径空芯光纤便于与光源的高效耦合。光纤柔韧性好即使被折断也不会产生玻璃碎片,具有很高的安全系数。搭建开发了完整的拉丝和控制系统,优化了系统部件和制作参数,成功拉制尺寸可控的大口径超柔韧空芯光纤基管。试制了均匀型空芯光纤和渐变型空芯光纤。初步实验证明均匀型空芯光纤在直线与弯曲时对传输光线的发散角并无影响;而渐变型光纤对输出光斑具有整形作用,即大端入射光束发散,小端入射光束汇聚。
Abstract
A polycarbonate base tube is fabricated by using glass-draw technique. The base tube is of smooth inner surface, which guarantees low- loss properties for the hollow fiber. The big- bore polycarbonate hollow fiber is flexible and provide convenient and efficient coupling with various light sources. The fiber is of high safety because no debris comes out even when it is broken. A glass-draw tower and a corresponding control system are developed. Components and the fabrication parameters are optimized. Big-bore and flexible polycarbonate silver-coated hollow fiber is fabricated. Both uniform and gradually tapered base tubes are successfully used. Preliminary tests show that uniform hollow fiber has a constant output divergence angle. Gradually tapered hollow fiber has larger output divergence angle when laser light input from big end, and it has a smaller output divergence angle when laser light input from small end.
