镶嵌式光纤环型腔结构参数对时间延迟的影响

摘要
提出了一种新型光纤环形谐振腔结构,与传统双环形腔结构不同的是该结构具有两个输出端,且具有不同的输出特性。由于耦合谐振透明效应经由该结构的光场会出现时间延迟,其结构参数会对时间延迟产生影响。由耦合模理论得出时间延迟的变化规律,并经数值模拟得出延迟随耦合系数和衰减系数的变化规律。研究发现控制该环形腔的结构参数可使得输出光的时间延迟在几十到几百纳秒之间变化,且该结构可以同时具有正负两种时间延迟,这个特征使得该结构在全光缓存、慢光光纤干涉仪和光学时延线等方面具有极大的潜在应用价值。
Abstract
We investigates effects of the structural parameters on time delay in a novel optical fiber ring resonators. Unlike the traditional double-ring resonator, the proposed scheme has two output ports which have different transmission characteristics due to the coupled resonator induced transparency, the transmission light through the resonator will be delayed, and the trime delay whose variation regularity is obtained from couple mode theory could be influenced by the structral parameters. In particular, the influences of the coupling coefficients, the attenuation factors and the ring length are demonstrated. The numerical result shows that time delay varies from hundreds to tens of nanoseconds. Compared with the time-delay of out1 and out2, we can find that the two outputs have reverse time-delay at resonance on the same condition, which will be useful in future applications in aspect of optical buffers, slow light fiber, interferometers, optical delay lines.
