超短光脉冲压缩系统和传输系统的色散补偿

摘要
基于普通单模光纤(SMF)和空芯光子晶体光纤(PCF),设计了一种新型的超短光脉冲压缩系统。采用近似解光脉冲传输非线性薛定谔方程和数值模拟方法,研究了二阶色散和三阶色散在超短光脉冲压缩系统和传输系统中的频率啁啾补偿,模拟了自相位调制(SPM)效应对色散补偿的影响并分析了其作用机理。研究发现,在超短光脉冲压缩系统中,当SPM效应增大时,补偿超短光脉冲频率啁啾所需的二阶色散将经历一个非线性过程,补偿其频率啁啾所需的三阶色散将经历一个与之对应的相反过程。
Abstract
An initial ultra-short optical pulse compression system is designed based on normal single-mode fiber and hollow photonic crystal fiber (PCF). By approximately solving the nonlinear Schrdinger equation of the optical pulse evolution in fibers,the frequency chirp compensation of second-order and third-order dispersion is studied in ultra-short pulse compression system and transmission system,and the mechanism of self-phase modulation (SPM) compensating dispersion is analyzed. It is found that,in ultra-short pulse compression system,the second-order dispersion compensation experiences nonlinear processes,and at the same time the third-order dispersion compensation experiences the opposite processes. But the pulse compression quality decreases seriously at the last process.
