窄泵浦脉冲对布里渊光时域反射仪测量精度的影响

摘要
在窄泵浦脉冲下,由于布里渊散射光的线宽与泵浦脉宽有关,布里渊光时域反射仪 (BOTDR)中泵浦脉冲的宽度对BOTDRs的测量精度有影响。本文以数值方法求解了声–光振幅耦合方程,发现当泵浦脉 冲的宽度远大于声子寿命时,布里渊散射光的线宽为自然线宽。而当泵浦脉冲的宽度趋于声子寿命时,布里 渊散射光的线宽明显增加,从而降低了BOTDR的测量精度。
Abstract
Under the condition of short pump pulse stimulation, the measurement accuracy of a Brillouin optical time domain reflectometer (BOTDR) can be affected by the duration of its internal pump pulses because the linewidth of the Brillouin scattering light is related to the pump pulse duration. In this paper, the acousto-optic amplitude coupling equations are solved numerically. It is found that when the duration of a pump pulse is much greater than the phonon lifetime, the linewidth of Brillouin scattering light is natural, and when the duration of a pump pulse is in the order of the phonon lifetime, the linewidth of Brillouin scattering light is increased significantly, hence the measurement accuracy of the BOTDR is reduced.
