Dynamic Backlight Signal Extraction Algorithm Based on Threshold of Image CDF for LCD-TV and its Hardware Implementation
摘要
提出了一种基于积累分布函数(CDF)阈值的动态背光液晶电视背光信号提取算法,可动态控制液晶电视背光亮度以达到降低功耗、提升对比度的目的。该算法亦能通过调节CDF阈值有效控制显示图像失真率,可有效提升液晶电视画面质量。对提出的算法硬件电路进行了设计,进一步证明了该算法的可实现性。
Abstract
An algorithm based on the threshold of image Cumulative Distribution Function(CDF) for dynamic backlight LCD-TVs was proposed in this paper. The backlight luminance can be dimmed to reduce the backlight power consumption and enhance the contrast. The distortion of the display image could be controlled through this method so that the image quality can be improved effectively. A circuit for this method was designed to proved that the method was feasible.
