Abstract
All-optical wavelength converters are expected to become key components in the future broadband networks.Here a two-segment DFB laser for the first time is used as an all-optical wavelength converter. Using this laser, all-optical wavelength conversion from 1.3 μm tp 1.55 μm is demonstrated.
