一种基于偏振特性的水面溢油实验检测方法

A Method of Water-surface Oil Spill Detection Based on Polarization Properties

摘要

水面溢油在反射与辐射过程中,表现出与其自身性质相关的偏振特性,这种与水面溢油性质相关的偏振特性可用 Stokes矢量表示。以 650 nm的线偏振激光为光源,在实验室用偏振分析仪测量了水面与油面反射时的 stokes矢量。通过调节线偏振光的振动面与入射面的角度,实验发现水面与油面的 stokes矢量在邦加球中的轨迹有明显的区别,由此可以实现对水面溢油的检测。

Abstract

Water-surface oil spill in the process of reflection and radiation, showing the nature of its own related to the polarization characteristics, the nature can be expressed by Stokes vector. With 650 nm linearly polarized laser as light source, using polarization analyzing system measured the stokes vector of the water and the oil surface reflection in the laboratory. By adjusting the angle of linearly polarized light vibration was found that water surface and oil stokes vector trajectory in the Poincare sphere are significantly different, which can detect oil spills on water surface.
