光纤激光的外腔谱组束和大气传输分析

采用Er3+/Yb3+共掺双包层光纤作为增益介质,实验实现了光纤激光器的调谐和三路光纤激光器的外腔谱组束,获得了光束质量因子M2x=1.304,M2y=1.151 的组束激光。综合分析了外腔谱组束光纤激光在大气中传输时受到几种主要大气效应因素的影响,结果表明,在中等或弱湍流条件下,谱组束激光在5km的传输距离内,光束半径的变化不大,可以保证激光**系统具有较好的战术应用效果。若在强湍流条件下运用,必须采用自适应光学补偿消除湍流的影响,才能保证激光**系统的有效作战距离和传输效率。
Abstract
Using Er3+/Yb3+ codoped doubleclad fiber (EYDF) as gain elements, it was studied experimentally the tuned performance of an individual fiber laser and then incoherently superposed the outputs of three fiber lasers into a single beam in near and far field by outercavity spectral beam combining scheme. Beam quality of the combined laser output was M2x = 1.304, M2y = 1.151. The influence of several main atmospheric factors on combined fiber laser beams were analyzed. The results indicate that the radius of the combined laser beam has little change on condition that the propagating distance of the beam is less than 5km and the turbulence is moderate or weak. So the effectiveness of the tactic laser weapon system can be satisfied. If the turbulence is strong, adaptive optics compensation must be exploited to reduce the effect of the turbulence in order to maintain the engaging distance and propagating efficiency.
