基于啁啾光纤光栅的时间展宽模数转换系统

摘要
在高速数字信号处理系统中,模数(A/D)转换技术被认为是制约其性能的主要因素。光电模数转换技术被认为是解决电子瓶颈问题、实现超宽带、高采样率和转换精度的A/D转换器的一种具有发展潜力的技术。提出了一种基于普通啁啾光纤光栅的时间展宽系统的结构,并将它与基于光纤色散的时间展宽系统进行了比较,还通过数值仿真分析了光纤光栅的反射谱纹波和群时延纹波对时间展宽系统的影响。普通啁啾光纤光栅的插入损耗和体积都很小,有利于研制小型化的高速A/D和光采样的高速示波器。
Abstract
The developing of high-speed data processing system is limited by analog-to-digital conversion (ADC) technology. All-optical ADC is extensively researched to break through the inherently limited operating speed of electronic devices. It′s a potential candidate to realize ultra-wide bandwidth, hight speed and high peformance ADC. A novel method for time-stretched ADC system using chirped fiber Bragg grating is proposed, which is small, low loss and cost effective. The difference between the system based on short chirped fiber Bragg grating and the system based on dispersion compensation fiber is studied. The impact of the ripples of the reflectivity and time delay curve on system is analyzed through numerical simulation. Because of benefit by its small volume and small insertion loss, this method has potential application in fabricating portable high-speed ADC device and oscilloscope.
