钕玻璃片姿态选配提升光束质量的方法研究

摘要
高功率固体激光装置主放大级钕玻璃片的波前畸变对最终输出光束的能量集中度有着重要影响。通过选择恰当的钕玻璃片姿态,能够使它们的部分波前畸变相互抵消,从而减小最终输出光束波前的均方根梯度(GRMS)值,提高输出光束的能量集中度。研究了通过调制钕玻璃片姿态来减小输出光束GRMS值并提高能量集中度的方法。结果表明,通过随机配置钕玻璃片的姿态,选取输出波前GRMS最小的那种姿态组合,能够有效提高输出光束的能量集中度。选取两组钕玻璃片进行数值模拟,统计得到的GRMS最小值比最大值减小了30%~40%。
Abstract
Wavefront aberration of Ndglass disks in the main amplifier affects the beam quality and energy convergence in the high power solid laser facility. Parts of the wavefront aberration can be cancelled by appropriate selection of disk pose configuration, which can lead to the decrease of the gradient of root mean square (GRMS) and the improvement of the energy convergence. In this paper the way to choose the disk pose configuration is introduced. We can get small GRMS by random pose selection and obtain the pose configuration with the minimum GRMS. The minimum GRMS is thirty to forty percent less than the maximum GRMS in the statistic results.
