High energy all-fiber based pulsed thulium-doped fiber laser at 2 μm
摘要
基于增益开关技术获得了稳定的高能量全光纤结构2 μm脉冲光纤激光器,脉冲重复频率在10~50 kHz之间可调,输出激光中心波长为1958 nm,输出脉冲宽度随着泵浦功率的增加不断减小,其变化范围为1.2~1.7 μs。采用两级掺铥光纤放大器对种子激光进行放大,当脉冲重复频率为10 kHz时,获得了5.18 W的输出平均功率,输出脉冲宽度为1.6 μs,单脉冲能量为0.518 mJ。
Abstract
A stable high energy all-fiber based pulsed thulium-doped fiber laser at 2 μm is obtained based on gain-switched techniques. The pulse repetition rate can be tuned between 10 kHz and 50 kHz, and the central wavelength of the laser is 1958 nm. With the rise of injected pump power, the output pulse width decreases and is in a range of 1.2-1.7 μs. By using two-stage thulium-doped fiber amplifiers the average output power is scaled up to 5.18 W at 10 kHz, the output pulse width is 1.6 μs, and the corresponding single pulse energy after amplification is 0.518 mJ.
