亮度对iPad和iPhone色域覆盖率的影响

摘要
为研究不同亮度下iPad和iPhone显示颜色的均匀性及色域覆盖率的变化,以NEC显示器为参考,在这三类显示设备上全屏显示测量色块,计算不同亮度下指定位置与中心点之间的色差值;计算各显示设备不同亮度下色域覆盖率(Gp),分析亮度对Gp的影响。实验结果表明:三个显示设备的颜色显示均匀性都较好,ΔEab<5。其中iPhone的颜色显示均匀性最好,NEC显示器的最差,iPad的Gp值随着亮度的增加而下降,iPhone和NEC显示器的Gp值基本随着亮度的增加而增加。结果表明亮度对显示设备颜色显示的均匀性影响较小,对设备色域覆盖率的影响较大。实验结果可为各类移动终端选择合适的亮度值提供参考依据,为跨媒体的色彩管理提供参考依据。
Abstract
In order to research the effect of the brightness on color display uniformity and color gamut coverage of iPad and iPhone, the color display uniformity of the display is judged by measuring the chromatic aberration between appointed position of each color patch with the middle one through adjusting the brightness on NEC display, iPad and iPhone with the reference of the NEC display. The color gamut coverage (Gp) of each display device in different brightness has been calculated and the influence of brightness on Gp trend with the Gp-brightness curve have been analysed. The results show that the color display uniformity of the three displays are all good, ΔEab<5 . And the color differences of the three basic vision are in an acceptable range to the visual. There is a large gap between the Gp-brightness curve of each display device. With the increase of the brightness, the Gp values of the iPad decrease while the Gp values of the iPhone and NEC display increase. Brightness plays a little influence on the color display uniformity of display device but a great effect on color gamut coverage. The experimental results can provide a reference for all kinds of mobile terminals to select the appropriate brightness values and a reference for cross-media color management.
