Linear Wavelength-Scanning Narrow Linewidth Er3+-doped Fiber Laser Based on Tunable F-P Cavity Filter

摘要
研制了一种基于可调F-P滤波器的线性波长扫描窄线宽光纤激光器。该激光器采用环形腔结构, 以高增益掺Er3+光纤(Er30-4/125)作为增益介质, 以保偏掺Er3+光纤(EDF08-PM)作为可饱和吸收体抑制跳模, 同时结合F-P滤波器选频, 获得了单频窄线宽的激光输出。通过线性调节F-P滤波器的驱动电压, 实现了对激光器波长的线性扫描。在两只975nm单模激光器的双向泵浦下, 实验中测得激光器阈值为15mW, 最大输出功率为24.3mW, 3dB线宽约为5.2kHz。当F-P滤波器在6.1~10.2V的线性电压驱动下, 激光器波长的线性扫描范围为1542.404~1558.836nm。
Abstract
A linear wavelength-scanning narrow linewidth Er3+-doped fiber laser based on tunable F-P cavity filter is presented in this paper. Applying a ring cavity, the fiber laser uses high gain Er3+-doped fiber (Er30-4/125) as the gain medium, and a polarization maintaining Er3+-doped fiber (EDF08-PM) is used as a saturable absorber to suppress mode hopping. Meanwhile, a tunable F-P cavity filter is used as a mode-selecting device in order to realize the single frequency and narrow linewidth laser output. With the linear scanning of F-P cavity filters driving voltage, the laser output wavelength will be tuned linearly. Pumped by two 975nm single mode laser diodes, the fiber laser exhibits 15mW threshold power, the maximum output power is greater than 24.3mW, and the 3dB linewidth is about 5.2kHz. When the tunable F-P cavity filters driving voltage is scanned from 6.1V to 10.2V, the laser output wavelength is tuned continuously and linearly in the range of 1542.404~1558.836nm.
