摘要
针对目前光通信对传输速率要求不断提高的问题,设计并实现了QSFP+(4通道小型可热插拔)收发合一光模块,其单信道传输速率可达10 Gbit/s,4个信道总传输速率为40 Gbit/s。模块采用工作波长为850 nm的VCSEL(垂直腔表面发射激光器)阵列作为光发射器件,高速PIN(光电二极管)型PD(光检测器)阵列作为光接收器件,与传统的设计相比,降低了设计复杂度和整体成本。对光模块进行了相关仿真和测试,结果表明,通道串扰低于-42 dB,接收灵敏度优于-11 dBm,总体性能指标满足IEEE 802.3ba标准的要求。
Abstract
In view of the current requirements for ceaselessly increasing the transmission rate of optical communications, this paper designs and realizes a Quad Small Form-factor Pluggable Plus (QSFP+) optical transceiver module, with single-channel transmission rate up to 10 Gbit/s and the total quad data rate of 40 Gbit/s. It uses an 850 nm Vertical-Cavity Surface-Emitting Laser (VCSEL) array as the light-emitting device and a high-speed PIN Photoelectric Detector (PD) array as a light receiving device. Compared with the traditional design, this model lowers the designing complexity and the overall cost. The simulation and test results show that the channel crosstalk is lower than -42 dB, the receiver sensitivity better than -11 dBm and the overall performance indexes satisfy the requirements of IEEE 802.3ba standard.
