广视角液晶显示器设计

摘要
为了实现液晶显示器的广视角显示, 论文详细阐述了一款54.6 cm(21.5 in)液晶显示器的广对比度视角液晶面板及广亮度视角背光源的设计原理和方法。介绍了边缘场开关模式液晶面板的设计方法及结构, 从原理上阐释了此液晶面板具有广对比度视角的原因; 介绍了背光源亮度视角的设计方法, 通过对背光源中多组光学膜层架构的测试和数据对比, 得到了具有最广亮度视角的膜层架构。根据上述原理进行实际模组样品的制作并进行实测, 数据结果显示此款液晶显示器的对比度视角可达90°/90°/90°/90°, 且在水平方向的1/2亮度视角可达60°, 相应的亮度视角均一性为1.20。通过对比其他同类产品的实测数据, 表明此款液晶显示器无论在对比度视角还是亮度视角方面都远优于同类产品。
Abstract
In order to realize wide viewing angle of liquid crystal display, this paper presents the design principle and method of one 54.6 cm (21.5 in) liquid crystal display with wide contrast viewing angle of liquid crystal panel and wide brightness viewing angle of backlight unit. First, through the introduction of structure and design of fringe field switching mode, the principle of wide contrast viewing angle of this liquid crystal panel is explained. Then the design method of brightness viewing angle of backlight unit is introduced, a variety of combinations of optical films were tested and optimal combination with biggest brightness viewing angle was chosen. Test data of practically-fabricated liquid crystal modules show the contrast viewing angle can achieve 90°/90°/90°/90°, and one half brightness viewing angle in horizontal direction can achieve 60°, corresponding to the data of luminance uniformity-angular dependence 1.20. This liquid crystal display has obvious advantages on contrast and brightness viewing angle compared with similar products.
