大尺寸超长光纤预制棒的生产技术研究

摘要
通过研究大尺寸超长光纤预制棒的制造技术,攻克了大尺寸超长光棒的芯棒处理和套柱焊接等关键技术,研制出了200 mm,长度6 m的大尺寸光棒,并实现单根光棒不间断超高速(2 800 m/min)拉丝15 000 km以上。实际生产和质量评估表明:该技术生产的单模光纤在1 550 nm波长的衰减系数典型值为0.182 dB/km,在1 310 nm波长的衰减系数典型值为0.321 dB/km。由此可见,研发的大尺寸超长光棒生产技术稳定、成熟,与目前广泛使用的1.5 m,150 mm光棒拉丝相比,光棒利用率提高12.4%,单位时间光纤产出提升20.7%。首次实现了200 mm×6 m大尺寸超长光棒的高速拉丝。
Abstract
In this paper, through the study of manufacturing technology of large size and ultra long optical fiber preform, the key technologies of core rod processing and cylinder welding of large size optical fiber preform was overcome, and the ultra long large size preform of 6 m long and 200 mm diameter was developed, further, uninterrupted high-speed drawing above 15 000 km of single preform was realized. Practice shows that the typical attenuation coefficient of single mode fiber produced by this technology for 1 550 nm wavelength was 0.182 dB/km, and the values for 1 310 nm wavelength was 0.321 dB/km, the technology of 6 m×200 mm optical fiber preform was mature. Compared with the widely used 1.5 m×150 mm perform with low speed drawing, the utilization rate of preform was improved by 12.4%. The fiber output per unit time was increased by 20.7%, and the drawing of 200 mm×6 m length preform was first implemented.
