摘要
介绍了一种提高平板显示器亮度的子像素结构及其映射优化算法,该算法通过将传统RGB条形像素排列、三角形(Delta)像素排列和Pentile像素排列中的蓝色子像素大小减少为原来的一半,并增加白色子像素的方法对子像素结构进行了优化,并改进了RGB转换到RGBW的映射算法,在图像的分辨率不降低的条件下,提高了图像的亮度和质量。在Matlab工具上的仿真结果证明该优化的像素结构和映射算法是有效的。
Abstract
This paper describes a method for improving the brightness of the flat panel display using sub-pixel structure and mapping optimization algorithm. A half of blue sub-pixel in the traditional RGB stripe pixel arrangement, a triangle (Delta) pixel arrangement and Pentile pixel arrangement were reduced and a white sub-pixel was added . The mapping algorithm of converting RGB to RGBW to increase brightness and image quality was imporved, while the resolution of the image was remained the same. It is shown by the Matlab simulation results that the the optimized pixel structure and mapping algorithm are effective.
