基于双开口方形薄片的太赫兹超材料吸收器吸收特性分析
Absorption Characteristics Analysis of a Terahertz Metamaterial Absorber based on Double Split Square Patches
摘要
提出了一种基于双开口方形薄片的太赫兹超材料吸收器。该吸收器结构单元是由典型的三层结构组成,上下两层为金属层、中间为介质层、顶层金属层由四个大小相同的双开口方形薄片排列而成。研究结果表明,吸收器分别在1.298 THz和1.662 THz处实现了99%以上的吸收率。之后,通过改变方形薄片的大小及开口尺寸,对方形薄片重新排列,在1.348~1.568 THz频段处实现了吸收率80%以上,带宽为0.22 THz的宽带吸收。该吸收器结构简单,具有偏振不相关性,且能实现大角度吸收,在太赫兹波成像、探测及电磁隐身等方面有极大的潜在应用价值。
Abstract
A metamaterial terahertz absorber based on double split square patches is presented. The unit cell of the absorber has a three-layer structure which consists of two metal layers and a single dielectric layer and the upper metallic layer is composed of four double split square patches which are in the same size. The simulation results show that the absorber has two distinctive absorption frequencies at 1.298 THz and 1.662 THz whose peaks are over 99%. Then rearrange the square patches after changing the sizes of square patches and split rings. The absorption of 0.220 THz band width broadband from 1.348 THz to 1.568 THz is achieved beyond 80%. The proposed absorber has a simple structure with the properties of polarization-insensitive and wide angle absorptivity, and thus can play an important role in terahertz imaging, detecting and stealthy technology.
