ADS双栅线结构高透像素设计

High transmittance pixel design of ADS dual gate structure

摘要
大尺寸、高分辨率(4K: 3 840×2 160、8K: 7 680×4 320)、高透过率和高性价比是TV产品发展的主要方向。先进的超级多维场开关(ADS)双栅线4K阵列基板栅极(Gate on Array, GOA)产品是目前主流的TV产品之一, 因产品分辨率高和双栅线结构, 像素尺寸较小且开口率较低, 加之常规ADS双栅线像素结构在两个子像素中间的暗区较大, 导致面板透过率较低, 影响产品特性和竞争力。本文在常规ADS 双栅线像素结构基础上, 改变两层电极的功能, 使底层电极作为像素电极, 顶层电极作为公共电极, 同时顶层电极在两个子像素面内采用联通设计, 减小有效电场弱区和像素暗区, 提升像素光效和透过率。模拟和试验结果表明: 新型ADS 双栅线像素设计可以提升面板透过率约3%。且光学、电学、机械和信赖性等评价无问题, 可实际应用于产品, 提高产品价值和竞争力。
Abstract
Large size, high resolution (4K/8K), high transmittance and high cost performance are the main development direction of TV products. Advanced Super Dimension Switch (ADS) dual gate 4K GOA product is one of the mainstream TV products at present. Due to its high resolution (3 840×2 160) and dual gate structure, the pixel size is small and aperture rate is low, in addition to large dark area in the middle of the two sub-pixel of the normal ADS dual gate pixel structure, resulting in low transmittance of panel, which affects product features and competitiveness. In this paper, based on the conventional ADS dual gate pixel structure, the function of the two layer electrodes was changed to make the bottom electrode as the pixel electrode and the top electrode as the common electrode. At the same time, the top electrode was used as the connection design in the two sub-pixel surface to reduce the blind area of effective electric field and improve the light effect and transmittance of pixel. Simulation and experimental results show that the new ADS dual gate pixel design can improve the transmittance of panel by about 3%. The evaluation of optics, electricity, machinery and reliability is no problem, which shows that the new ADS dual gate pixel structure can be applied to products in practice, and improve product value and competitiveness.
