摘要
时序彩色显示相比于传统空间子像素显示而言, 具有高分辨率低功耗等优点, 但其深受色彩分裂现象的困扰, 解决此问题对时序显示的发展显得至关重要。本文基于240 Hz液晶显示屏, 提出一种四场局域基色去饱和算法。该算法选取重心点为第4场背光基色, 将亮度信息和图像强度更多分配在第4子场。通过程序仿真四场和三场局域基色去饱和算法的显示效果, 设计了主观评分的感知实验来对比两种算法对时序显示图像色彩分裂现象的抑制效果。不同算法和不同分区数都对评分产生了显著影响, 评分随着背光分区数增加而降低, 两种算法都对色彩分裂现象的抑制效果有显著影响, 且四场算法的抑制效果优于三场算法。结果表明, 四场和三场局域基色去饱和算法都可以通过增加背光分区数来抑制图像的色彩分裂现象。四场局域基色去饱和算法对时序显示色彩分裂的抑制效果优于原有的三场局域基色去饱和算法。
Abstract
The field-sequential-color display has the advantages of high resolution and low power consumption compared to the traditional spatial sub-pixel display but it is deeply troubled by color breakup. Solving this problem is crucial for the development of the field-sequential-color display. Based on the 240 Hz liquid crystal display, 4-field local-primary-desaturation algorithm is proposed in this paper. The center of gravity is selected as the fourth backlight color, and distributes the luminance information and image intensity more in the fourth subfield. The simulation results of the 4-field and 3-field local-primary-desaturation algorithm are simulated by the program. Perception experiments are designed to evaluate the suppression effect of two algorithms on the color breakup of target images. Different algorithms and different partition numbers have significant influence on the score. The score decreases with the increase of the number of backlight partitions. Both algorithms have a significant effect on the suppression of color breakup, and the suppression effect of 4-field local-primary-desaturation algorithm is better than 3-field. The results show that 4-field and 3-field local-primary-desaturation algorithm can effectively suppress the color breakup of images by increasing the number of backlight partitions. Compared with the 3-field local-primary-desaturation algorithm, 4-field local-primary-desaturation algorithm can suppress the color breakup more effectively.
