基于小波变换的红外图像融合技术研究

摘要
图像融合的目的是把来自多传感器数据的互补信息合并形成一幅新的图像,以便更好地进行监视和侦察之类的视觉感知。文中介绍了小波变换及其Mallat快速算法,提出了基于小波变换的图像融合方法,并分析了可见光与红外图像的融合结果。结果表明,小波变换融合图像包含了所有传感器的相关信息,其性能优于高斯-拉普拉斯金字塔结构算法。这一原理也可以应用到两幅以上的图像上,无论这些图像是否在同一光谱波段内。
Abstract
The purpose of imagefusion is to merge complementary information from multisensor data for visual perception,such as surveillance and reconnaissance. The wavelet transform and Mallat fast algorithmare introduced, an image fusion scheme based on the wavelet transform is proposed and thefused image with visible and infrared image is analyzed in this paper. The result showsthat the fused image of the wavelet transform includes all relevant information aboutsensors, the scheme performs better than the Gaussian-Laplacian pyramid-based algorithm.The principle can be used for two images or more, whether the images are in the samespectral band or not.
