High Power Laser Weapons and Their Cooling Systems
摘要
回顾了大功率激光**的分类与发展历史,根据现有冷却方法的热负荷范围,提出解决未来大功率激光**热管理的可能途径。对于千瓦级固体激光器的冷却,可采用激光二极管抽运方法减少进入工作介质的热量,采用微通道液冷或喷雾冷却等方法以有效地导出工作介质中热量。兆瓦级化学氧碘激光器或中红外氟化氘化学激光器等,可采用喷雾冷却或热泵冷却等方法。
Abstract
The categories and developments of high power laser weapons were reviewed. The possible thermal management methods for high power laser weapon were summarized according to the heat loads of available cooling techniques. For the cooling of kilowatt solid lasers, laser diodes pumping method can be adopted to reduce heat generation in the gain medium, and the microchannel liquid cooling or spray cooling method can be used to effectively dissipate heat from gain medium. For the cooling of megawatt class chemical lasers, e.g., chemical oxygen-iodine laser or mid-infrared advanced tritium chemical laser, the spray cooling method or heat pump loop are generally concerned.
