周立伟，北京理工大学教授、博士、首席专家、博士生导师、中国工程院院士。1932年9月生于上海， 浙江诸暨人， 成像电子光学和光电子成像器件专家，宽束电子光学理论的创立者。1958年北京工业学院仪器系毕业，1966年获苏联数学物理副博士学位。曾任校学术委员会主任、校科协主席、校基础教育学院名誉院长、国务院学位委员会学科评议组成员、全国博士后管委会专家组成员、中国光学学会副理事长等职。现任北京光学学会名誉理事长、中国光学工程学会名誉副理事长、建设创新型国家战略推进委员会主席团成员等职。
长期在宽束电子光学、光电子成像领域从事教学与科研工作。发表学术论文、科技报告300余篇，学术专著等5部，科普著作有《藏绿斋札记》等6部。培养博士生和硕士生60余人。专著《宽束电子光学》荣获第二届国家图书奖提名奖、第八届中国图书奖和第七届全国优秀科技图书一等奖。科研成果荣获1978年全国科学大会奖、1991年光华科技基金一等奖以及1980、1990、1995、1996年部科技进步一等奖、二等奖各两项和1991、1996年国家科技进步二等奖、三等奖各一项等奖励。
1984年被授予国家级有突出贡献的中青年专家称号，1992年当选俄罗斯圣彼得堡工程院外籍院士，1996年被授予全国兵器工业系统先进工作者荣誉称号，1997年被俄罗斯萨玛拉国立航天大学授予名誉博士称号，1999年当选中国工程院院士，2000年当选俄罗斯联邦工程科学院外籍院士。
Zhou Liwei, Ph.D, Professor，Chief expert of Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT), Member of Chinese Academy of Engineering. He was born in Shanghai in September, 1932. His native town: Zhuji city of Zhejiang province, China. He is an expert in imaging electron optics and photoelectronic imaging devices, and a founder in theory of electron optics with wide beam focusing. He was graduated from Dept. of Instrumentation, BIT in 1958 and received the USSR Candidate Degree (PhD) of physics-mathematical science in 1966. He was the Chairman of Academic Committee of BIT, Chairman of association of science and technology of BIT, Honorary director of school of basic education of BIT, Member of the discipline appraisal group of the Academic Degree Commission in the State Council, Member of expert group of the whole-China Post-Doctoral Commission, Vice-president of Chinese Optical Society, etc. Now he is the honorary president of Beijing Optical Society, honorary vice president of Chinese Optical Engineering Society and Member of presidium of committee of strategic progress for constructing innovative country, etc.
Prof. Zhou Liwei is engaged in electron optics with wide beam focusing and photoelectronic imaging devices for about 60 years. He has published more 300 academic and technical papers at home and abroad, 5 monographs and 6 popular science books including “Notes of Green Hiding Study”. He has educated more 60 graduate and post-graduate students. His monograph “Electron Optics with Wide Beam Focusing” has been awarded the Chinese Books Prize in 1994, the National Books Prize (nominative prize) in 1995 and the Nation-wide Scientific Excellent Books First Prize in 1995. Achievements of Prof. Zhou Liwei in scientific research were awarded the National Science Congress Prize in 1978, the Ministry’s First and Second Prizes for Science and Technology Progress in 1980, 1990, 1995 and 1996, the Guang Hua Fund First Prize for Science and Technology in 1991. He was also twice of the winner of State Second and Third Prizes for Science and Technology Progress in1991 and 1996.
In 1984, he was titled “Expert of outstanding achievements at the State Level”. In 1992，he was elected foreign member of Saint Petersburg Academy of Engineering, Russia. In 1996, he was given a title of “Advanced Worker” by State Personnel Ministry. In 1997, he was given a title of Honorary Doctor by Samara State Aerospace University, Russia. In 1999, he was elected member of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and in 2000, he was elected Foreign member of Academy of Engineering Sciences of the Russian Federation.
