横流放电CO2激光器气体热效应对光轴与横模的影响
Influences of gas thermal effects in transverse-flow electrical discharge CO2 lasers on their optical axis and transverse modes
摘要
本文讨论了横流放电CO2激光器气体发热引起的折射率变化对光轴和横模的影响。计算表明,折射率变化的一阶小量会引起激光振荡轴位置和角度变化;折射率变化的二阶小量类似于轴对称放电管中的负透镜效应。这两种效应随着注入电功率、工作气压尤其是增益长度的增加而显著增大。
Abstract
This paper discusses the influences of the refractive index change resulting from gas heating in the transverse-flow electrical discharge COa laser on the optical axis and the transverse mode. The calculation indicates that tho first order quantity of the refractive index change will vary the position and tho angle of the laser axis. Tho second order quantity of tho refractive index change is analogous to the negative lens effect in the axisymmetrical discharge tube1. Both effects will be enhanced with the increase of injection power and the mixture pressure, especially with the gain length.
