红外空心布拉格光纤损耗特性的研究

摘要
采用半导体玻璃/有机聚合物作为材料,利用禁带效应,设计了传输波段中心波长位于10.6 μm处的空心Bragg(布拉格)光纤。利用COMSOL Multiphysics仿真软件,分析了径向包层数对基模(HE11)传输损耗的影响。结果表明,当包层数增至20层时,其损耗值已降至0.051 4 dB/m,明显优于普通硫系化合物光纤最低所能达到的0.6 dB/m。这种Bragg光纤既可用于医用高功率二氧化碳激光传输,也适用于远距离红外传输。
Abstract
Using the Photonic-Bandgap effect, this paper designs a hollow-core Bragg fiber with its center wavelength of the transmission waveband at 10.6 μm with the semiconductor glass and organic polymer as the cladding material and analyzes the effects of the number of the radial cladding on the transmission loss of the fundamental mode HE11 by using COMSOL Multiphysics simulation tool, the results show that when the number increases to 20, the loss value falls to 0.051 4 dB/m, obviously better than 0.6 dB/m, the lowest value the ordinary sulfur compound fibers can reach. This kind of Bragg fiber can be applied to both medical high power CO2 laser transmission and long-distance infrared transmission.
