Blue Electroluminescent Diodes Based on Molecular Doped Polymer

摘要
TPB(1,1,4,4-四苯基丁二烯)分散到PVK(聚乙烯基咔唑)中的掺杂聚合物作有源层制作的蓝光发光二极管及其发光特性。聚合物发光层用旋转涂敷的方法制备,用透明导电材料ITO(铟锡氧化物)、金属Al作为正负电极。器件正向偏压为13 V时,可以看到蓝光发射,峰值波长为455 nm,注入电流为50 mA/cm2时,亮度为44 cm/m2。
Abstract
Light emitting diodes(LED) based on polymeric thin layer have attracted much interest and polymer LED emitting blue light is particularly desirable. In this paper, a newly dye and polymer complex teraphenylbutadiene (TPB ) doped Poly (N -vinylcarbazole) (PVK) as the emitter in electroluminescent device has been examined and the emission characteristics of the LED have been discussed. The electroluminescent diode consists of a thin polymer film sandwiched by indium/tin-oxide (ITO)and Al electrodes. Blue emission centered at 455 nm has been observed at room temperature. The maximum luminescent intensity of 44 cd/m2 at a bias less than 20 V and a current density of 50 mA/cm2 is achieved.
