一种用于固态体积式真三维显示的片源编码的改进方法

摘要
随着固态体积式真三维显示技术的快速发展,人们对该技术显示片源的要求不断提高,本文提出了一种用于固态体积式真三维显示的片源编码的改进方法。该方法对具有景深的虚拟场景提供3种处理模式:模式一,直接对RGB值和深度值进行编码、传输、解码;模式二,将RGB值转换成YUV值,再对YUV值和深度值进行编码、传输、解码;模式三,将RGB值转换成YUV值,对YUV值和深度值进行编码,再将编码后的YUV值转换成RGB值,对RGB值传输、解码。分别对这3种处理模式在工程样机上进行立体显示效果测试和编码效率的对比测试。实验证明:3种模式都能够达到立体显示要求,模式二和模式三生成的立体图像更逼真细致,模式二和模式三的编码效率比模式一的提高了至少3倍。该改进方法使生成的片源更具有灵活性和普适性,对YUV信号进行编码能够更贴合人眼对亮度的敏感度、使立体显示中的颜色信号更加充裕。
Abstract
As the rapid development of solid volumetric true 3D display technology and the requirement of the display content higher and higher, this paper proposes an improvement encoding method of the solid volumetric true 3D display. The method offers three processing modes for virtual scene with depth of field: mode 1,the RGB values and the depth values are encoded, transmitted, decoded; mode 2, the RGB values are converted to YUV values, and then the YUV values and the depth values are encoded, transmitted, decoded; mode 3, the RGB values are converted to YUV values, then the YUV values and the depth values are to be encoded, last the encoded YUV values are converted to RGB values, and the RGB values are transmitted and decoded. The actual display test and transmission efficiency for the three kinds of modes are compared on the engineering prototype. The experiment shows that the three modes are able to meet stereo display requirements, the 3D images of mode 2 and mode 3 are more realistic and detailed, mode 2 and mode 3 coding efficiency are higher than that of the mode 1 for a few times. This method not only makes the generated sources more flexibility and universality, but also encoding YUV signals can be more fit for the human eye to the sensitive degree of brightness and make the color signal more abundant.
