工作在L-波段的可调谐环形腔掺铒光纤激光器

摘要
报道了一种波长调谐范围达45 nm的L-波段环形腔掺铒光纤激光器.利用偏振调谐的方法,可以使该激光器的工作波长在1560 nm到1605 nm范围内调谐,调谐范围几乎覆盖了整个L-波段.环形腔内用两段铒光纤作为增益介质,采用二次抽运方式,由一980 nm激光器抽运其中一段铒光纤产生的放大自发辐射作二次抽运源,再对腔内的两段铒光纤进行抽运,使它们的增益谱位移到L-波段,获得稳定的激光输出.实验中还对环形腔输出耦合器的输出耦合比对激光功率的影响作了研究.
Abstract
A novel erbium doped fiber ring laser utilizing amplified spontaneous emission (ASE) as a secondary pump source so that it can operate in L band stably was demonstrated. The output wavelength can be tuned in a wide range of 45 nm, from 1560 nm to 1605 nm, by changing the status of a polarization controller in the cavity. The relationship between the output power and the splitting ratio of the output coupler is also studied in this paper.
