摘要
报道了一种可用于生成毫米波源的单纵模双波长光纤激光器。该激光器采用保偏光纤布拉格光栅作 为波长选择器件,其选出的两个波长是正交偏振态的,增强了偏振烧孔效应,有效减少了不同波长 之间的竞争,得到稳定的双波长输出。利用复合腔的游标效应抑制多模振荡,实现激光器单纵模运转。 双波长间隔约0.318 nm (39.8 GHz), 边模抑制比(SMSR)大于50 dB。
Abstract
A single-longitudinal-mode dual-wavelength fiber laser used to generate millimeter waves was presented. Polarization-maintaining fiber Bragg grating (PM-FBG) was used as wavelength selected component in this laser. Two wavelengths of PM-FBG is orthogonal polarization states, enhance the polarization hole burning effect and effectively reduce the different wavelength competition and achieve stable dual-wavelength output. The Vernier effect of the compound cavity effectively suppresses multi-modes oscillations and realizes single-longitudinal-mode operation. The separation of two wavelength is 0.318 nm (39.8 GHz) and side-mode suppression ratio (SMSR) is more than 50 dB.
