2016 Editor-in-Chief Choice Award of Chinese Optics Letters Released
On July 19th, Prof. Shining Zhu's group from Nanjing University and Prof. Zhiwei Lv's group from Harbin Institute of Technology, were presented the certificates of the 2016 Editor-in-Chief Choice Awards by Prof. Changhe Zhou, Excecutive Editor-in-Chief, and Prof. Ting-Chung Poon, Associate Editor-in-Chief of Chinse Optics Letters (COL). Each team was also awarded a bonus of ¥10,000.

Prof. Ting-Chung Poon (presenter), Prof. Xinjie Lv, Dr. Jian Ning,
Prof. Zhiwei Lv, and Prof. Changhe Zhou (presenter)

The 2016 Editor-in-Chief Choice Awards were given to two articles published in COL, titled Widely tunable optical parametric oscillator in periodically poled congruently grown lithium tantalite whispering gallery mode resonators authored by Prof. Zhu’s group, and Generation of high-energy 284  ps laser pulse without tail modulation by stimulated Brillouin scattering authored by Prof. Lv's group.
About the Editor-in-Chief Choice Award
The Editor-in-Chief Choice Award-winning papers are selected by a panel of experts including Editors-in-Chief of Chinese Laser Press (CLP)'s 3 English-language journals -- Chinese Optics Letters, Photonics Research, and High Power Laser Science and Engineering. The papers are evaluated based on the quality, downloads, citations, and the importance of the work to the field.
The articles below are the most cited papers published in COL in 2016. We hope these articles will be useful reference for your future work.

In conventional axially distributed image sensing (ADS), the reconstructed images at only a front view can be generated since the sensor is moved along with its optical axis so that it has small lateral perspectives for 3D objects. However, the reconstructed 3D images at any viewing point may be obtained because the virtual viewing camera may capture these slightly different perspectives for 3D objects. In this Letter, the authors employ the virtual viewing camera to visualize the 3D images at the arbitrary viewing point...

As perovskite solar cells show tremendous potential for widespread applications, the authors find that adding inorganic thermal-stable cesium ions into MAPbI3 results in significantly improves thermal stability. For un-encapsulated perovskite devices, the energy conversion efficiency maintains about 75% of its original value (over 15%) in the MA0.85Cs0.05PbI3 device under 80 min of heating at 140°C in a dry atmosphere (RH≤30%). With significantly improved thermal stability achieved by a convenient process, it is expected that this type of mixed-cation perovskites can further facilitate large scale applications...
