提出一种反射型法布里-珀罗(FP)标准具和微环谐振腔级联的温度传感器。该温度传感器由光纤反射镜、FP标准具和微环谐振腔构成。利用强度探测的方法,仿真计算和实验验证表明,温度传感器具有较高的灵敏度和较低的探测极限。将宽带光源和滤波器组合作为实验的输入光源,反射型FP标准具起到滤波的作用,温度传感元件是微环谐振腔。仿真计算得出该温度传感器的灵敏度为2.1406 dB/℃。实验结果表明,该温度传感器的灵敏度为1.9434 dB/℃,探测极限为0.01 ℃。

随着网络带宽需求呈爆发式增长,波分复用技术从主干网下沉到城域网和终端用户侧的接入网,作为波分网络核心器件的低成本可调谐半导体激光器日益受到关注。本文回顾了可调谐半导体激光器的发展历程,分类阐述了不同方案可调谐半导体激光器的工作原理和性能,评析了典型商用可调谐光模块的优缺点,并重点介绍了低成本V型腔可调谐激光器的研究和产业化应用进展。

采用液封直拉(LEC)法批量生长的直径2英寸(1英寸=2.54 cm)n型Te-GaSb(100)单晶的位错腐蚀坑密度(EPD)通常低于300 cm-2,达到无位错水平。本文利用X射线摇摆曲线以及倒易空间图(RSM)对这种GaSb单晶抛光衬底的晶格完整性和亚表面损伤情况进行了分析表征,结果表明经过工艺条件优化的化学机械抛光处理,GaSb单晶衬底表面达到原子级光滑,不存在亚表面损伤层。利用分子束外延在这种衬底上可稳定生长出高质量的Ⅱ类超晶格外延材料并呈现出优异的红外探测性能。在此基础上,对CaSb衬底材料的物性、生长制备和衬底加工条件之间的内在关系进行了综合分析。

Based on the Vernier effect of the cascaded double ring resonator (CDRR) sensor, a sensor consisting of a microfluidic control system, a sensing ring, and a reference ring with a micro-heater for thermal tuning is proposed in this paper. In wavelength interrogation, a broadband spectrometer or a large tunable range laser is not required. The shift of the output spectrum caused by the refractive index change of the sample is converted into the change of the electric power by the thermal tuning heater. Due to the Vernier effect, the sensitivity of the sensor is 20 times higher than that of the single ring. The spectral envelope of the thermal-optic tuning of the sensor was fitted by a Gaussian function in the wavelength range of 8 nm. The experimental results showed that the sensitivity was 33.703 W/RIU, and the limit of detection was 1.34×10-5 RIU.

V型腔可调谐半导体激光器由于具备结构简单紧凑、性能优良等特点, 在光通讯领域有着较大的应用潜力。然而, 由于激光器外延结构热导率相近, 用于波长调谐的热量大部分直接流失, 激光器无法得到较高的调谐效率。本文通过在调谐区域加入隔热结构, 设计了具有高调谐效率的V型腔可调谐激光器。利用由COMSOL Multiphysics建立的V型腔激光器温度模型, 分析了隔热结构的加入对激光器各部分的温度影响。通过Rsoft建立的谐振腔光场分布, 优化半波耦合器参数, 使激光器具有最佳的模式选择性。结果表明, 激光器主边模阈值增益差达到6.07 cm-1, 调谐效率从0.165 nm/mW提升至0.3 nm/mW。同时, 隔热结构的加入不会使激光器其他区域有明显的温升, 器件性能受到的负面影响可以忽略。

We demonstrate a novel type of miniature spectrometer based on a Fourier transform spectrometer (FTS) chip with a dense output array and a commercial photodetector (PD) array. The FTS chip has an output array cycle of 20 μm and consists of 51 Mach–Zehnder interferometers (MZIs), and the PD array is a commercial linear charged coupled device (CCD). An achromatic triplet lens is used to image the MZI output interferogram onto the CCD with a small aberration. Our experiment result shows that a free spectral range (FSR) from 489 nm to 584 nm and a retrieved spectral resolution of 3.5 nm at 532 nm are obtained. The achieved properties show that our spectrometer has the potential to outperform the best commercial compact one in terms of most performance indices.

通过在阵列波导的出口末端加入辅助波导,实现一种输入和输出通道数均为7(7×7),通道间隔为400 GHz的氮氧化硅阵列波导光栅路由器(AWGR),以提高损耗均匀性。利用引入的辅助波导调节在输出自由传输区的像平面处的场分布,通过优化其结构参数在像平面获得了平顶形状的场分布。与传统的AWGR相比,当光从中心输入通道输入时,带有辅助波导的AWGR所测得的输出损耗不均匀性从2.09 dB减少为0.76 dB;而当光从边缘输入通道输入时,输出通道输出的损耗不均匀性从1.99 dB降低为0.88 dB,可满足实际光通信、光互连等系统的需求。由于辅助波导的引入,中心通道的最小插入损耗从2.99 dB增加为3.82 dB,边缘通道的最小插入损耗从4.83 dB增加为5.46 dB。所有通道的串扰约为18 dB。

Wide-range optical sensors based on a single ring resonator are investigated theoretically and experimentally. The sensor worked at the TE and TM modes simultaneously. Because the sensitivities of the TE mode and TM mode are different, the TE mode is used for the large measurement range, and the TM mode is used for the high sensitivity measurement. The experimental results showed that the measurement range for the TE mode was almost three times larger than that of the TM mode. A sensitivity of 233 nm/RIU was achieved for the wavelength interrogation of the TM mode.

研究了双环级联谐振腔传感器透射谱线包络的拟合方法, 用不同拟合函数拟合双环透射谱包络, 并利用单环和游标效应分析其拟合误差.理论计算表明, 将探测极限提高10倍时, 对包络作高斯拟合得到的传感器探测误差仅为0.41%.实验结果表明用波长探测方式, 未拟合时传感器探测误差高达14.96%, 而通过对包络作高斯拟合得到的传感器探测误差只有0.45%.仿真和实验结果均验证了高斯函数的拟合效果最好, 可在游标效应增大灵敏度的基础上, 进一步提高传感器的探测极限和探测精度.

We present compact silicon-arrayed waveguide grating routers (AWGRs) with three different channel spacings of 20, 6.4, and 3.2 nm for optical interconnect systems. The AWGR with the 20 nm channel spacing shows a low loss of 2.5 dB and a low crosstalk of 20 dB and has a footprint of only 0.27 mm×0.19 mm. The AWGR with the channel spacing of 6.4 nm has loss ranging from 3 to 8 dB, and the crosstalk is 18 dB. As for the 3.2 nm channel spacing, the loss is about 4 dB, and the crosstalk is 12 dB.
