In this paper, theprinciple of a novel acoustooptic cavity dumping is presented, as well as the design ofBragg acoustooptic cavity dumping with 5mm optical aperture using quartz medium, whichoperates at 1.06μmoptical wavelength, 80MHz ultrasonic frequency, lithium niobate transducer with Y36°axial angle, internal modulation frequency of 1~30kHz. The acoustooptic cavity dumping for laserintracavity is fabricated、 tested and evaluated.
