一种新型有源镜激光器定标放大实验

摘要
基于大口径片状Nd∶YAG介质,采用双色膜技术设计并研制了高效率V形有源镜(AM)激光器。该激光器有四个模块,每个模块包含两片大口径Nd∶YAG片状介质。实验结果表明,四模块工作时,该激光器的脉冲输出能量为47 J,全系统效率达到了1.2%,斜率效率约1.3%,与理论预期值符合。同时利用该激光器的模块化设计特点,重点研究了单脉冲激光输出与模块数目的定标放大关系。结果表明,激光器的输出能量与模块数目基本呈线性关系,显示出该多模块有源镜激光器的定标放大优势,适合高平均功率运转。
Abstract
Based on large aperture Nd∶YAG slabs and dichromatic coatings, a high-efficiency V-shaped active-mirror (AM) laser was designed, which was composed of four modules with two large-aperture Nd∶YAG slabs in each module. With such a modular configuration, the single pulse laser output scaling and amplification with module number was investigated in detail. The experimental results show that the maximum output energy is about 47 J with an overall efficiency of 1.2% and slope efficiency of 1.3%, which agree well with the theoretical expectation. Also, the experiment verifies that the output energy has a linear scaling law with the module number, which implies that this kind of multi-module large-aperture active-mirror laser is suitable for high-average-power operation.
