We investigate the properties of spatial solitons in the fractional Schr dinger equation (FSE) with parity-time (PT)-symmetric lattice potential supported by the focusing of Kerr nonlinearity. Both one- and two-dimensional solitons can stably propagate in PT-symmetric lattices under noise perturbations. The domains of stability for both one- and two-dimensional solitons strongly depend on the gain/loss strength of the lattice. In the spatial domain, the solitons are rigidly modulated by the lattice potential for the weak diffraction in FSE systems. In the inverse space, due to the periodicity of lattices, the spectra of solitons experience sharp peaks when the values of wavenumbers are even. The transverse power flows induced by the imaginary part of the lattice are also investigated, which can preserve the internal energy balances within the solitons.

We report on the rich dynamics of two-dimensional fundamental solitons coupled and interacting on the top of an elliptical shaped potential in a two-dimensional Ginzburg–Landau model. Under the elliptical shaped potential, the solitons display unique and dynamic properties, such as the generation of straight-line arrays, emission of either one elliptical shaped soliton or several elliptical ring soliton arrays, and soliton decay. When changing the depth and sharpness of the external potential and fixing other parameters of the potential, various scenarios of soliton dynamics are also revealed. These results suggest some possible applications for all-optical data-processing schemes, such as the routing of light signals in optical communication devices.

We present a theory to investigate the existence and the propagation properties of incoherently coupled single-hump and dipole soliton pairs in self-defocusing media with parity-time symmetric lattice. These soliton pairs can exist provided that they are composed of two optical beams with the same polarization and wavelength. It is found that single-hump soliton pairs are always stable when the components copropagate in the lattice, whereas high-power dipole soliton pairs are unstable. If one of the components is absent, the propagation behavior of the other one is also studied.

Elliptic vortex solitons are investigated in anisotropic nonlocal media with more general formulations. We address the existence and dynamics of such solitons analytically and numerically. The solution of elliptic vortex solitons depends on the eccentricity of both the input beam and nonlocal response function. With different degrees of nonlocality, we numerically investigate the evolution of the elliptic vortex solitons, and find that, typically, the elliptic vortex solitons with single and double charges collapse into spiraling dipole- and tripole-like soliton clusters, respectively.

Abstract
We report on the existence and stability of defect solitons in two-dimensional optical Bessel potentials. It is found that for zero defect, defect solitons are stable in the entire existence domain. For negative defects, defect solitons are unstable in the moderate power region. It is worth emphasizing that for deep enough defects, another unstable domain will emerge in the high power region.

Abstract
Different from the cases discussed preciously, nonlinear changes of refractive index in the photorefractive materials are influenced by both the linear and quadratic electro-optic effect simultaneously now. Here we present the evolution equations of one-dimension incoherently coupled spatial soliton families due to two-photon effect in biased photorefractive crystals with both the linear and quadratic electro-optic effect and discuss their existence conditions and properties in detail. Our analysis indicates that these soliton families can exist in all three possible realizations: dark-dark, bright-bright and dark-bright provided that the incident beams have the same polarization, wavelength and are mutually incoherent. Finally, the stabilities of these soliton families have been discussed by means of beam propagation methods.

Abstract
A unified theory to construct exact optical rogue wave solutions of (1+1)-dimensional nonlinear Schrodinger equation with varying coefficients is proposed. The dynamics of the first-order optical rogue waves in nonlinear graded-index waveguide amplifiers exhibiting self-focusing or self-defocusing Kerr nonlinearity are also investigated. Moreover, under the suitable parameter condition, the propagation characteristics of the rogue waves in the nonlinear optical media are discussed. The properties of the optical rogue waves, such as width, amplitude, and position, can be controlled in the nonlinear optical media.

Abstract
The influence of diffusive nonlinearity on mobility of photovoltaic lattice solitons is demonstrated. The dynamical evolution of collision between photovoltaic lattice solitons and nonlinear lattices are simulated numerically. The results show the lattice solitons with a transverse velocity have complicated behaviors and will not propagate with an oblique trajectory. When considering the diffusive nonlinearity, we find that diffusive nonlinearity can introduce a nonlinear chirped phase to lattice soliton and the lattice soliton with a special incident angle can become a "tilted soliton".
