We report on laser diode (LD) pumped passively Q-switched Yb,Gd:SrF2 lasers with high single-pulse energy for the first time, to the best of our knowledge. In addition, a stable Q-switched laser based on a Cr4+:Y3Al5O12 saturable absorber was demonstrated. The maximum output power of the Q-switched laser obtained was 495 mW, with a pulse width and a pulse repetition rate of 233 ns and 1.238 kHz, respectively. The corresponding single-pulse energy and the peak power were as high as 400 μJ and 1.714 kW. The laser was operated under a transverse electromagnetic mode, and the beam quality was near-diffraction-limited.

利用激光二极管抽运掺镱硅酸镥( YbLu2SiO5 , Yb:LSO)晶体, 在腔内不加任何主被动调制器、且腔内未插入硬光阑的情况下, 实现了激光器的克尔透镜自锁模运转。采用4镜Z形折叠腔, 在抽运功率为15.8 W时, 得到平均功率达2.05 W的克尔透镜自锁模稳定脉冲输出,相应的斜率效率为16.5%。

报道了激光二极管(LD)侧面抽运Nd:YAG晶体间歇振荡1064 nm和1319 nm双波长激光器。采用间歇振荡技术,可有效地控制上能级的反转粒子数,避免激光振荡谱线之间的双波长竞争效应,而且对输出镜镀膜精度的要求大大降低,稳定的间歇振荡双波长激光输出较容易获得。两声光间的延迟时间连续可调,因此可以通过调节延迟时间来改变双波长激光的输出功率之比。在抽运电流为22 A,声光重复频率为4 kHz,延迟时间为10 μs时获得1319 nm激光偏振输出功率6.2 W,1064 nm激光偏振输出功率5.1 W。根据间歇振荡双波长激光器的四能级速率方程模型进行了数值计算和分析,理论结果与实验相符。

The generation of ultraviolet (UV) light at 335.5 nm based on frequency quadrupling of a diode-end-pumped Q-switched Nd:YVO4 laser at 1342 nm was demonstrated. KTP crystal was used for generation of wavelength of 671 nm by intracavity doubling and LBO (BBO) crystal was exploited for the subsequent external fourth harmonic generation (FHG). With 6.3-W absorbed pump power and 10-kHz frequency repetition rate, the UV output power of 35 and 63 mW were obtained by using LBO and BBO as frequency quadrupling nonlinear crystals, respectively. The experimental results show that the conversion efficiency (red-UV) of 6.4% for BBO crystal is higher than that of 3.5% for LBO crystal, but the UV beam quality obtained by LBO crystal is better than by BBO crystal.

研究了激光二极管(LD)抽运Nd∶YVO4连续波1.34 μm激光器在不同腔长时的输出特性,通过计算晶体中的振荡光光斑大小随泵浦功率的变化,分析了1.34 μm激光输出的热透镜效应对腔稳定性和激光输出特性的影响,为1.34 μm激光谐振腔的优化设计提供了基本的理论依据。实验中采用简单的平 凹腔结构,泵浦功率为756W时,得到2.39W的连续波1.34 μm激光输出,最大斜效率为36.5%,光-光转换效率为31.7%。

采用直线腔激光二极管(LD) 抽运Nd:GdVO4晶体1.34μm激光器.在泵浦功率为8W的情况下,获得连续波输出为1.91W.激光器光-光转换效率为23.9%,斜效率为29.1%.采用声光调Q,重复频率为10kHz时,得到最短脉宽、最大单脉冲能量分别为78ns和20.1μJ,最大平均输出功率为253mW.采用Nd:GdVO4晶体KTP腔内倍频激光器,在泵浦功率为6.7W时,得到单向连续红光输出为50.7mW,光-光转换效率为1.5%.

报道了一种声光调Q激光二极管抽运Nd:YVO4晶体腔外五倍频213 nm深紫外全固态激光器。实验上分别利用KTP和两块BBO晶体产生532 nm倍频绿光,266 nm紫外四倍频以及基波与四倍频的混频,实现了从Nd:YVO4近红外激光到213 nm深紫外激光的频率变换。在10.3 W抽运功率下,获得平均输出功率3.1 mW,脉宽7.5 ns的213 nm深紫外激光输出。

We demonstrate an efficient and eye-safe wavelength intracavity optical parametric oscillator (OPO), based on a KTP crystal inside a Q-switched Nd:YVO4 laser end pumped by a fiber-coupled diode laser. In the acousto-optic Q-switched operation with the pulse repetition rate of 10 kHz, a 1572-nm eye-safe laser with the average power of 237 mW at the incident pump power of 5.64 W is obtained. Under the pulse repetition rate of 5 kHz, the signal light with pulse width of 2 ns and peak power of 18.5 kW is achieved. The conversion efficiency of the average power is 4.2% from pump diode to OPO signal output and the signal pulse duration is about 13 times shorter than that of the depleted pump light.
